DiamondRoseParker
hey. so the name's diamond rose parker, but seriously, you don't have to say it all out. just call me Dia or Di. i'm a junior and that makes sense because i'm seventeen years old, and my birthday is May 3rd. however, now that i've told you, presents are mandatory! sometimes people tell me i look like brookelle bones and i think that's a good thing because they're pretty damn sexy. anyways, i've recently found out that jami actually controls everything that i do. she has zero other characters here, isn't that cool?///////////////////////////////////////////////
personality;diamond is the paradoxical balance between being sociable, and also being introverted. she is incredibly easy to get along with, and she has become quite a master of people skills. she is comfortable conversing with just about anyone on a basic level. however diamond finds herself to be the most comfortable when she is alone. she finds that having to deal with people too often puts a stress on her mind and she enjoys nothing more than spending an evening by herself. this may stem from the fact that she is truly an introvert, or simply that she just had not yet come across someone worth spending her time with, she is not quite sure on this situation so she labels herself the introvert. however any conversations that go beyond a basic level tend to make her extremely uncomfortable. she is not the one who blurts out her past, or anything personal about herself. this keeps her from having the close friends that she so desires, because she finds it so hard to let her guard down to let other people in. she strongly holds on to the mentality that she is the only one who will not disappoint her, so she is the only one she can trust. however, if you do manage to break past this abrasive, difficult wall she can prove the rewards to be worth the effort. once she feels endowed to you, you will never be able to find anyone as loyal as she. her true colours will begin to rise to the surface and she will appear to be a completely different person. one may even find out that she takes great pride in all different forms of art. diamond has been a singer since the small age of 5 and she could sit down and play the piano for hours and not tire of it. she has more recently become fascinated by charcoal and has taken up charcoal painting. she is not as excellent an artist in that form as she would like, but she is trying her hardest to get better. which is yet another trait that makes up her complex structure. diamond is well aware of the fact that she is horribly stubborn. she is stuck in her beliefs and it takes a miracle to change her mind about a topic. she blames this on the fact that she is a taurus, and there are known for being stubborn like oxen. she does not like to give up, and is remarkably strong and determined. she enjoys nothing more than defying expectations and proving people wrong. diamond is also unusual in the way of how she feels about human emotions, more specifically love. you would expect a young girl to believe more than any other in love. however diamond does not follow this trend, she defies all expectations. she actually does not truly believe in the idea of ‘true love’. she has always had it described to her as ‘perpetual bliss’. however, diamond is very much into the science aspects of life, and finds this description to be very misleading. she is strong in her idea that perpetual bliss is not real, just like the tooth fairy or santa clause. she argues that you may meet someone whom you think is the one person who is perfect for you, but chances are there is always someone out there who would be a better fit for you. this opinion may have been formed from the fact that her parents were not exactly the best example, or that she herself has never been extremely romantic with anyone in her life. maybe it will change with experience, maybe it will not. she is always lusting after this typical life that everyone expects to have when they’re young: going out all the time, not having to worry about anything, having tons of friends, having a lover, just experiencing life. however she has never gotten this, and now that she has moved to a new chapter in her life, she is teeming with anxiety to see how things will pan out for her.
history; 17 years ago, a single scream could be heard from inside the queen creek hospital. doctors and nurses crowded around the pregnant mary parker. sweat dribbled down her face and she tightly clamped her husbands hand. “one more push.” she could her the doctors urging her on. she let out one last gasp as the child was brought into the world, diamond parker. diamond’s birth was celebrated greatly throughout the parker family, it has been known that before her, he parents had tried to conceive a child three different times with no success. the fact that she was now in the world, with all ten fingers and toes attached properly was next to a miracle for the new family. diamond was a very active child between the age of 1-4. she climbed on and in everything. her parents had to put locks on doors to keep diamond out. diamond was the cat curiosity killed basically. she wanted to explore everything she could, find out everything she could. preschool was rough, on the teacher. diamond had a habit of running off to explore things, which left the teacher the job of running off the find her while she watched after the other children. her teeming sense of curiosity has never left her. however a horrible accident rocked her teenage years, it was something that would haunt her for the rest of her life. she has been called out of her classes one day in middle school, and her father had a very solemn look on his face, but he would not tell her what was wrong. they sat in silence for the entire 15 minute car ride to the hospital. she was lead inside to a room, she saw a clipboard on the door that had her mother’s name scrawled across it and she felt like her entire world has just dropped instantly. the room was dead silent. the window casted eerie black shadows over the deathbed. the sight of her other as the door swung open brought her instantly to tears. her father caught her and brought her face into his chest as he slowly explained everything. doctors came in and out, like scattered ants in their pace. after an hour a doctor came from behind and lightly tapped the 13 year old diamond on the right shoulder. “i’m sorry, there is nothing more we can do for her.” was the last thing diamond heard. the tears increased as they flowed down her face. she threw her head down upon her deceased mothers stomach and lay there crying as she watching her mother white face, hoping a spark would occur and she would come back. hours passed and still no hope for diamond. her father entered the room to gently tear diamond away from the body. she clung to her father like a young child, tears now only running slowly one by one. weeks passed and the house grew darker and darker. finally it was decided that a move was in order. diamond’s face was plastered to the moving van’s window as she watched the memories of her old house fade slowly away into the horizon as the truck drove on. her father put a comforting hand on her shoulder, but to no avail. diamond’s father has decided to move to get a fresh start for him and his daughter. diamond knew that she couldn’t let this sadness defeat her. she knew she had to be strong, for her and her mother. she had to let her mother’s spirit live on in her new life.
